Columns: player_a,player_b,result. The result is A, B or draw (also accepts 1 / 0 / 0.5, 1-0 / 0-1 / 1/2-1/2). Rows are added in order to the current league, and new names become players.
How this leaderboard works
Everyone starts at the same rating, 1000 by default. After each match, both players' ratings move by K × (result − expected score), where the expected score comes from the rating gap. That's the standard Elo update explained on the Elo calculator. Matches are replayed in the order you entered them, so deleting or reordering an old match recalculates everything after it.
- Saved on this device. Leagues are kept in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server, and clearing site data deletes them, so export a CSV now and then.
- Share link. The link holds the whole league, encoded after the
#in the address, which browsers don't send to servers. Anyone who opens it gets their own copy. - Fair for new players? Newcomers start at the starting rating and need a few games to settle. Our K-factor guide covers the tradeoffs, and Elo for ranking anything has tips for office leagues.
